Today Listen Edition is launching an exciting new platform for teachers to engage their students with compelling audio that brings authentic voices into the classroom. Listen Edition is now Listen Current. We are still providing public radio for the classroom and we’re still bringing current voices, current issues and current events to your classroom. We just have a new name: Listen Current. The website has a whole new look and feel but still has all the same great content. And we’ve added some cool new features so check them out! www.listencurrent.com
Why did we change our name? Because the new, updated website needed a more current name. Listen Current has so many new features, including teacher assigning capabilities, interactive transcripts for the radio stories and additional teaching supports. And we needed a name that would resonate with students because we now have student logins. And we wanted a name that would highlight our unique ability to bring current voices in the classroom for most any subject.
On the new Listen Current site, there is no longer a free trial. Instead we’ve opened up many of the curated public radio stories and lesson plans for free use by teachers. Current events are still free. But on top of all that we’ve created a set a PREMIUM features for schools and districts.
Listen Current PREMIUM is a school solution that enables student assignments and differentiated instruction. It provides teachers with additional capabilities including interactive transcripts, worksheets, and assignments. Listen Current PREMIUM is perfect for the blended, BYOD, flipped or 1:1 classroom. It’s also great for assigning students listening homework for their devices at home. Learn how it works.

If you had an account on Listen Edition, it has been moved over to Listen Current. You should have received an email asking you to create a new password. If you can’t find the email, simply go to LogIn and click on “Forgot Your Password?”. You can reset it from there.
