1. Prep your account for your new classes

Get ready for new students on the Manage Classes tab:

  1. Delete your classes from last year.
    1. Here are instructions on how to delete classes.
  2. Create your new classes.
    1. Import Google Classroom rosters or manually create classes to generate a Class Code to share with students. This help article has more info about class creation.
  3. Enroll your students.
    1. These quick start guides show students how to log in based on how you created classes: Class Code or Google Classroom.

2. Utilize these new product features

We’ve made some impactful changes to Listenwise:

1. The audio speed button on all lessons has been relabeled from “original” and “slower” to “1.0x” and “.75x”

2. You can now favorite a collection for easy access later. Simply click into any collection and click Favorite!

3. Every Teacher’s Guide on Gen Ed and ELD lessons includes a “Download PDF” button to make it easier to use the resources while teaching the lesson.

4. Anywhere your classes are listed (dashboard widgets, Classes page, and Manage Classes), you can reorder them so that you see your highest priority classes at the top.


3. Explore our latest content 

There’s always something new to listen to on Listenwise! Check out our latest and greatest content:

  1. We have a new content partner, Rebel Girls, featuring stories of inspirational girls and women from around the world. 
  2. School is back in session, and so are our Current Events. Check back every week to see the newest Weird News, Kid News, and Debates lessons.
  3. Don’t forget about our ELD lessons, designed for multilingual learners! Learn more about the ELD library here.
  4.  Our library of SEL lessons continues to grow! Here’s a sampling of popular lessons that can spark conversation and build community: Researcher Reveals Secret to Happiness, The Beauty of Boredom, Teens and Stress, All About Anxiety, and Celebrating Friendship Through Social Media.

4. Learn about Lingolift!

We are excited to announce the launch of our new product designed for newcomer and emergent multilinguals in grades 2-12: Lingolift!

Lingolift helps students develop English language proficiency across all four language domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Listenwise and Lingolift are better together: by pairing a Lingolift and Listenwise subscription, you have access to a single platform that fosters student growth — from their first 90 days in school and beyond.
